Gill Pollard's Photographs

Many of my paintings are based on reference photos especially in the winter but my interest in
photography goes back to taking art photos back in the 70's with ancient Kodak
Brownie box cameras.  I moved on to 35mm  then digital cameras but have recently started
using the old Brownies again and a Diana that I lucked into at $2.

The following are a few photos from the fall of 79 that were originally 35mm Olympus Om1 plus-x
but have been digitalized from the negative by using a Sony FD83 in B&W mode to get an almost
Diana-like image. Click on the images to enlarge.

The Three Ladies. This image was shot from the hip and was a
little rough but it is one of my favorite "people" photos.
The Old Couple. A really neat view of an older couple who were
taking a rest on a hay wagon.
The angry man.
Still Life with Cops.
The Diner.
Haircut.
Ron Edwards the traveling oil painter, an inspiration!
